While developing, it was highly beneficial to set `wal_writer_delay` to a lower number than default.
This increased write speeds by a lot. The default is `200ms`, and I found a great balance between latency and disk I/O by using `30ms`.

`ALTER SYSTEM SET wal_writer_delay = '30ms';`
